June Update

Here are a few pictures of the boys during the month of June.

Andrew loves swimming in his new pool.

This is Andrew's buddy, Turner. I am babysitting her a couple days a week, and her and Andrew have a blast together.

Reading time in the tent.

Owen is always so happy when he wakes up.

Andrew has been introduced to fishing and loves it! My mom's dad (Pap paw) gave us his fishing boat, so Andrew and Gary had a lot of fun taking it out on the water. This day he caught 2 Bream.

Who needs toys when you can just play with kitchen utensils?

Owen is a little wiggle worm, and diaper changes are already getting more difficult. He usually tries to flip over within a few seconds.

Playtime...

Swinging at the park...

Sweet boys playing together...

Bath time...

We went swimming with the Williams family, and the boys loved the pool.

This is Caleb, Gary, Andrew, and Emily.

I think the pool wore Owen out. He slept through all the splashing and noise in his float.

Working on his baseball skills.

When it's not blazing hot, we love to be outside in our yard. Andrew is usually playing or pretend fishing, and Owen is hanging out in the exersaucer.

Owen had 2 teeth come through last week. He's been drooling a lot and chomping down on his toys, so we figured it was only a matter of time before they popped through. He also started feeding himself puffs, and absolutely loves them. Owen is a roly poly and will move across the bed or floor pretty quickly. He's been sitting up well, and can scoot in a circle on the floor. He's not crawling yet, but he'll put his knees under his body and rock back and forth. The funniest is when he tries to move, and he looks like he's swimming. If he's anything like his brother, it might be a while before he's mobile, and I'm definitely not rushing it. Andrew is hilarious these days and is telling us stories or asking questions all day long. Lately, he's interested in how things work or likes to reason with us about things. We are so blessed with 2 incredible boys!!

Beach Trip with the Snuffins

We went with our family to Orange Beach, Alabama, and we had an awesome week! Andrew and Owen had a lot of fun, and Gary and I were so blessed to squeeze in some relaxation time, thanks to our wonderful family. We also came home with a new pet (thanks Aunt Peepers). It's a hermit crab, and Andrew named him Perry-Perry.

Here's the view from our room on the 10th floor of the Phoenix VII.

Here are the cousins-Andrew, Blake, Owen, and Eric

Relaxing

Owen took a few of his naps on the beach under the tent.

Andrew was "making soup" with the sand and water

Chatter Box

We love all the random conversations that we have with Andrew each day! It's amazing to see his little imagination at work, and there's rarely a dull or quiet moment at our house :)

Andrew seems to be growing up way too fast, and I wanted to remember a few of the words Andrew uses right now that are just precious to me...

Macon means Bacon
Strawbarerry means Strawberry
Macamoni means Macaroni
Swake means Snake
Schmack means Snack
Sweep means Sleep
A Thirsty means a Sip

6 Months Old!

It's hard to believe that Owen is already 6 months old. Where has time gone these past few months? Owen is a joy and is such a happy baby. He loves when anyone talks to him, and he grins from ear to ear. We took Owen for his check-up, and he's 22 pounds and 28 inches long. That's 95 percentile for height and weight! For my records, he's wearing size 12 month clothes, size 3 diapers, 5 bottles a day, and 3 solid food meals a day. He has been trying to sit up these past few weeks, but today, I think I can say he has officially gotten it! He sat up by himself for a long time tonight and only had a few topples over. He's drooling like crazy these days and putting everything in his mouth. I can't see teeth yet, but he's definitely chomping down on his toys. He's also a little chatter box. We hear all kinds of syllables coming out each day between laughter and squeals.

Sweet brothers!

Sitting up all by himself.

Andrew thought it was funny to put this on Owen's head :)

Montgomery Zoo

We took the boys to Montgomery to have their pictures taken. While we were there, we decided to spend the afternoon at the zoo. It was so much fun for all of us! Andrew wanted to go back as soon as we got home.

Train ride around the zoo.

Feeding the giraffes!
