Boomerang Express VBS

We had VBS at Parkway, and it was a lot of fun for everyone!

Closing Assembly
We had a contest each day for the offering between the girls and boys. The losing team would have their leader covered in chocolate syrup and feathers (Gary for the boys and Mrs. Rhonda for the girls). After a very competitive week, the boys won and Mrs. Rhonda was covered in chocolate syrup and feathers on the last day. Also, Gary dyed his hair red and purple each based on the team that brought the most weight in coins. In the end, we raised over $1100 to send to missionaries serving in Ukraine.

We're Getting a Puppy!

My mom and uncle found our puppy while they were on a fishing trip in Arkansas. Our dog was abandoned, so Lou and Mom brought him to Memphis. My mom told us about the puppy, and Gary and I decided that we were ready to take him. Now that we are settled, we have the perfect backyard for him, and we've been wanting a dog for a long time. My mom is bringing him to Auburn on June 24th when she comes to visit us, and we are so excited to see him!

Gary's favorite baseball team is the Atlanta Braves, so we have decided to name our puppy, "Chipper" for Chipper Jones. We'll probably call him "Chip" most of the time.

Here are a few pics of our sweet little puppy.

This is a picture of Chip with his aunt Ellie (my parents' dog) and my uncle Lou.

Playing Outside

Since the preschool year ended, I've had 3 great weeks of spending extra time at home with Andrew. He just loves to be outside, so I decided to pull out his tiny baby pool that we didn't use last year. We are planning to get a bigger kiddy pool, but today, it was a whopping 93 degrees, so the pool was perfect. He had a lot of fun, and I had a hard time getting him to look up at the camera.
