Auburn Football

On Saturday, Gary, Andrew, and I tailgated with our friends, Laura and Jamie for most of the afternoon, and we took Andrew to his 1st Auburn football game that night. He loved all the excitement from the crowd, cheering for the team, and the music. He also liked spotting Aubie the tiger all over the stadium.

Picking the name!

We've been talking with Andrew a lot about his baby brother who will be born in November, and at preschool on Wednesday, Andrew told his teachers his little brother's name. We finally decided that it was time to tell everyone the name because his big brother sure wanted everyone to know :)

His name will be-Owen Matthew!!

I went to the doctor on Tuesday, and everything seems to be going well with the pregnancy. As of today, I'm 29 weeks and 5 days pregnant, and I'm starting my 2 week appointments now. I'm starting to feel big, but I guess that's to be expected in the 3rd trimester. Owen kicks me all the time especially when I try to lay down at night and relax. Overall, I feel like this pregnancy is pretty similar to mine with Andrew. We are so excited to meet this precious little boy and about becoming a family of 4 in about 10 weeks!

Playing Outside

Andrew just loves being outside! These 2 pictures were taken at Town Creek Park in Auburn. The 3 of us had fun walking around the lake, and Andrew enjoyed throwing rocks in the water.

Gary's schedule at the church is Sunday-Thursday, so he's staying home with Andrew on Fridays while I work a few hours at the preschool. They had fun playing together with the water hose and cleaned out the garage before I got home.

Sips n Strokes

I went to a place in Auburn called Sips n Strokes with some ladies from church. That night they had a Christmas in July painting, and we had a lot of fun. I wanted to do this painting last December around the holidays, but we just had too much going on. I have a feeling this will be something that I'll enjoy doing in the future for another girl's night out.

Surprise Weekend Trip!

On Monday night, Gary told me that we had plans to go out of town for the weekend. He didn't want me to ask any questions, and he wasn't going to give me any hints. Of course, I was so curious, but I tried my best not to ask any questions. It's hard for us to keep surprises from each other, so I was very proud of him and all his planning.

On Thursday afternoon, I packed my bag and Andrew's bag with random things and just planned for wherever we might go. At 4:00PM, Gary let me know that Andrew is staying here in Auburn with the Williams family and with the Lowe's during one of the days. At first I was a little sad because I wasn't really prepared to be away from him for a couple days, but then I got excited because Gary and I never do anything like this on our own.

We dropped off Andrew and headed north on I-85. After a few hours, I started getting a little restless and began asking a lot of questions. It's not as comfortable these days to ride in a car for long periods of time.

We got off the exit in Greenville, SC, and it was a beautiful city. We pulled up to the Westin Hotel, and I just assumed that we would spend a relaxing weekend shopping, eating out, and just enjoying some time together. Gary and I decided to go on a walk when we got back to the hotel, and I recognized the Kohout's Explorer in front of the hotel (I saw their horse sticker and the NC tag). Our husbands had planned this weekend for the 4 of us to spend together and wonderfully pulled it off without me or Jana guessing anything!

We had a blast hanging out with the Kohouts! Jana and I are both having babies in the fall, so this was a perfect little "babymoon" before our little guys arrive :)

Georgia Aquarium

Gary's parents came to visit us this weekend, and we went to the aquarium in Atlanta. Andrew loved looking at all the fish! He would get so excited as we moved to each exhibit.

Touching the anemone.

He's wanting to take a picture by himself.

This view was in a small tunnel that we crawled through.

Andrew loved the big whale slide! He could have stayed there all day and played.

Touching sea urchins.

It's a BOY!!!

Here are the ultrasound pictures of our precious little BOY!! We are so excited about meeting our little guy in November. At the appointment, his heartbeat was 163 bpm, and he weighs 9 ounces. I have an anterior placenta like I did with Andrew, so I haven't felt a lot of movement yet. Just an occasional roll or kick if I'm laying in a certain position. The doctor said that I will feel a lot more in the next few weeks. Overall, he looks very healthy, and we are both right on track.

Here's my baby bump at 18 weeks. Gary was out of town, so I managed to take these in front of my mirror.

Little Monkey Jumping on the Bed!

Andrew loves jumping on our bed! This is probably his favorite thing to do with us in the morning before we get going for the day.

Spending time with Daddy!

I was getting ready the other day, and Gary was sitting in our room reading his bible. Andrew just loves spending time with his daddy and wanted to be right with him while he was reading. I thought it was precious!

Learning Letters and Numbers

Andrew is picking up more and more words everyday and has showed a lot of interest lately in learning about the alphabet and numbers. We have magnetic letters on our refrigerator and the other day, he started bringing them to me and telling me what letter it was. I continued showing him blocks with letters on them, and he now recognizes at least 16 of them. He can also say the whole alphabet, but sometimes he'll get off track and start all over again. He's so proud of himself when he does it. He also likes to count, and right now, he can count clearly 1 through 5 and with a little help he'll count to 10. Now, when we are out at the store or riding down the road, he loves to yell out the letters and numbers that he sees. I can't believe how fast he's growing up!

15 weeks pregnant!

I went for a regular OB check-up today. Our little one's heart was 156bpm, and everything else seems to be great. We will find out the sex of the baby at the next appointment on Thursday, June 17th. YAY!!!

Pool Time!

Gary decided to pull out Andrew's new whale pool on Friday while we were outside. I wasn't sure what Andrew would do because the water was so cold, but he didn't care at all. He jumped right in with all his clothes on and loved it!

Nick and Carrie's Wedding!

My brother, Nick and sister-in-law, Carrie got married on Saturday, May 1st in Atlanta, GA. It was a beautiful wedding, and it was so great to be with my family to celebrate their special day. Congrats Nick and Carrie!!
