Owen is 1!

A year ago today, the Lord blessed us with another precious son! Happy Birthday Owen! We love you so much.

Owen smiled and laughed in his car seat after I turned it around. It was like a whole new world for him.



Here's some fun stuff that I wanted to remember about Owen at 1 year-

• Nicknames: O, Pumpkin Pie, Meatball, Bulldozer
• Crawling, Cruising, and Pushing Toys all over the house
• Smiles and Laughs with Andrew all day
• First word: Ball
• Other sounds or words....Ma Ma, Da Da, Bubba (Andrew), Bye Bye, Uh Oh, La La, Ni Ni (haven't figured that one out yet)
• Wears 24 month clothes and size 4 diaper
• Weighs about 27 pounds
• Eating table food and 3 bottles a day (doesn't want to give those up yet)
• Drinking water/juice from a sippy cup
• Has 8 teeth right now including 1 molar that's almost in
• Things he enjoys: playing with Andrew, throwing balls, playing with cars, being outside, watching our dog, Chip from the back door, being tickled, opening cabinets and making messes :), wrestling with us or brother, reading books, playing with bubbles, singing to him

Cotton Pickin' Pumpkin Patch

A family from our church has a farm in Auburn, and this was the 1st year they opened it to the public for a pumpkin patch. We all had a lot of fun!

Andrew has been working on writing letters, and today, he wrote his whole name by himself. So proud of him!

Montgomery Fair

The 4 of us went to the Montgomery fair on a Friday night. When we pulled into the parking lot, Andrew was laughing and smiling as he saw all the lights. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed some yummy fair food.

Beach Retreat

Our family went to Panama City, FL this past weekend with the college ministry at Parkway. Gary was asked to lead the bible study, so we all went together. All 4 of us had a great time on the beach and hanging out with the college kids. The weather was perfect, and we were able to get some yummy seafood.

Owen slept in the kitchen in our room. I had to build a tent over in the corner, so he would actually rest.

September Update

"Busy" is an understatement for our family lately. During the month of September, we made a trip home to Memphis to see our family, we met our friends, Brian and Jana, in Atlanta for a Braves game, I started a new bible study with some ladies from church, Nat's mom came to visit, Gary's Wednesday night program at church called Xtreme began this month, Gary started playing in a fall softball league, and we had the 4th graders over for a fiesta night. When we weren't busy with all these fun events, we enjoyed some awesome family time with our boys!

It's so amazing to see how close my boys are already getting. I love to watch them try to make the other laugh. Andrew likes to get into Owen's bed with him after nap time.

They were wrestling and both cracking up laughing.

Spirit Day at Preschool

We had a spirit day at the preschool, and Aubie and the Auburn cheerleaders came to visit the kids. Andrew had a lot of fun and was talking about it all day. When they took his class picture, Andrew just hopped right in Aubie's lap.
