9 months old

Andrew is keeping us busy these days, but he's so fun! He's such a happy boy, and he loves to be around other people, especially other kids. The other day, his preschool teacher (Ms. Karla) told me that Andrew was her "star student" in the baby class, and it just made me laugh :) She said he's content and happy at preschool, and I am so blessed to be working there and that Andrew is enjoying it too.

Here are a few updates over the last month or so.......

• Waving all the time at everyone and everything including his toys :)
• He's very verbal and he's saying....Da Da, Ma Ma, Boom Boom, Ta Ta, Ba Ba, Bye Bye along with other sounds
• Scooting in circles and backwards but not quite crawling
• Sat up by himself in his bed (only twice so far)
• Standing while holding onto furniture or his activity table
• Shaking his head "no" although he doesn't know what that means :)
  
• Dancing
  
• 2nd Tooth came in the day before Christmas Eve
• Eating more big boy food (bread, cheese, veggies, fruit, etc)
  
• Wearing 12 month clothes and size 4 diapers

I took Andrew to the doctor today for his 9 month check-up, and he's 22 pounds, 14 ounces (70% percentile) and 28 1/4 inches long (50% percentile). He's grown 2 1/2 inches in the last 3 months. We will be car seat shopping soon because Andrew is now almost over the limit on his infant carrier :) Dr. Hamp said he's doing great. We just love our little man!

Poor little guy was almost begging for a nap because he was so tired from playing with all of his new toys, but this is the only picture that I have been able to get of his 2 little teeth.
